Happy Monday! It’s that time again where we get to take on the world and get some sh*t done!

I can’t believe it’s already the 2nd week in July. EEK! Half of 2016 is GONE, so we gotta make each day count!

This week is all about kicking some major ass. I don’t know about you, but when I think of how fast this year has flown by, my mind starts FREAKING OUT and I feel like I have TEN THOUSAND things to do ten minutes ago. I start thinking about one thing I need to do, and then something else pops into my mind that I urgently need to handle, and then another thing and another and another until OH MY GOD I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO BECAUSE I HAVE WAY TO MUCH TO DO IN TOO LITTLE TIME AND I DON’T KNOW HOW TO GET IT ALL DONE IN TIME. SH*T SH*T SH*T!!!! #privatemeltdown

Trust me, my mind has running a million miles a minute as I prepare for the next launch of my course LIBERATED. It’s exciting and exhilarating, BUT— I can’t get anything done when I’m overcome with overwhelm. #freakout

Luckily, this 7 simple step process has helped me time and time again to overcome any overwhelm I’ve ever had. #icanbreatheagain

Here’s how you can overcome overwhelm in 7 simple steps:

1. Stop whatever you are doing and BREATHE.

Take a deep breath in. Let it out slowly. Take another deep breath in. And let it out slowly again. Do it one more time and imagine peace and clarity as you inhale. And then imagine all that stress and worry flow out as you exhale.

When we get overwhelmed, we tend to not breathe as deep. This causes a lack of oxygen to the brain, which therefore causes us to not think as clearly and induce panic quickly.

Take a few more breaths if you need to. I find that 3 slow, deep breaths works for me.

2. Write down everything that you need to get done.

Take a sheet of paper and write down everything that you’re freaking out about needing to get done today. No matter how big or small the task, just get it all out of your head and onto that sheet of paper. It’s harder to figure out what to do when you have a gajillion things running around in your head. So, get it out get it out get it out!

3. Take a look at your list and circle the thing that will take you the LEAST amount of time to get done.

In order to regain control of the runaway train of your list, start with the easiest task to get done. Why? Because once you get that thing done, you will be able to cross it off your list and feel a bit more accomplished. Completing a task will also boost your morale and remind you that you can get sh*t done. (You are a boss babe after all!) So, start with the one that takes the least amount of time so you can start feeling better ASAP.

4. Do that task until it is fully completed. Then check it off your list.

Just do it. Write that email. Make that phone call. Do that workout. Just get it done. Don’t check your email (unless that’s the task). Don’t go on Facebook to see what your friends are up to. Just get that one task won and done. You will feel so much better after you have!

5. Go back to your list and circle the next thing that will take you the LEAST amount of time to do.

Yay! You finished one thing, so surely you can do another! Again, what’s going to take you the least amount of time to accomplish? Anything under 30 minutes? Boom. Circle it!

6. Do this next task until it is D-U-N DONE.

Get er’ done. You’ve got this. You did it once, you can do it again. It’s only a few more minutes until you can check this off your list too!

7. Repeat steps 5-6 until you’ve checked off everything on your list.

You’re in the groove now. You’re on a roll. Keep going! You are kicking some major ass today!


Once you’ve written down your list, put an asterik next to the things that HAVE to get done today. When I mean “HAVE to get done,” I mean you have to get it done or you’ll get fired from your job or you’ll miss an audition or you’ll cause someone to die (okay— maybe not that dramatic, but serious enough where you will seriously hurt someone’s feelings or destroy a relationship).  Get those tasks done FIRST. And remember— start with the ones that will take you the least amount of time to do.
